Dutch Honey Pie Cake Recipe

Instructions: Preparation:  Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.

Make Cake Batter:  In a large mixing bowl, cream together the granulated sugar, honey, and softened butter until light and fluffy.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Prepare Honey Glaze:  While the cake is baking, make the honey glaze. In a small saucepan, combine honey, butter, and vanilla extract.

Glaze Cake: Once the cake is baked and still warm, poke holes all over the surface with a toothpick or skewer.

Cool and Serve: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes before slicing and serving. Serve warm or at room temperature.
