New York Style Pizza Recipe

1. Prepare Pizza Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Gradually add the lukewarm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.

2. Make Pizza Sauce: Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the tomato mixture, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and set aside.

3. Preheat Oven and Prepare Pizza Stone: Preheat your oven to the highest temperature possible (usually around 500°F to 550°F or 260°C to 290°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat as well.

4. Assemble Pizza: Transfer the rolled-out pizza dough to a lightly floured pizza peel or the back of a baking sheet. If using a pizza stone, make sure the pizza peel is generously dusted with cornmeal or flour to prevent sticking.

5. Bake Pizza: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.

6. Serve and Enjoy: Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious New York style pizza!
